I am Rachel Scott, a wife, mother, Mimi of 13 grands, and pet mama. I live in rural east-central Georgia with my husband, Bruce and our young daughter, two mini-Dachshunds and four small Yorkshire Terrier fur babies . Our house is busy, to say the least. We run a fun, energetic household, but a tight ship when it comes to the care and health of our animals. Our household thrives on love and respect for each other and our animals.
I am a state-licensed ethical breeder and have been genetics-driven breeding for over 25 years. We raise our dogs to the highest standards.
OUR DOGS ARE FAMILY
Our five girls (and one fella) are all just big ole lap babies. Our Traditional, Chocolate and Parti Yorkie pack is well socialized, has excellent vet care, is fed high quality food, and all the pups are loved and played with every single day.
We pre-train our puppies and we run our household like a dog pack so our upcoming pups should be easier to train than some if the same is carried on in their fur-ever homes.
We take immense pride in starting your pup‘s training so you have a firm foundation and easy transition when you take him/her home.

There is more to buying a Yorkie than deciding if you like the sales price. We do a FaceTime interview with potential buyers. We require contact info for your current vet. We will ensure you know about the Yorkshire Terrier breed’s requirements regarding the time, money, training, health risks, and other things that go into their care.
We will be available after the sale of your pup to answer any questions about health, behavior, training, etc.

Are Yorkies High Maintenance?
Absolutely! But they are worth it all. They require daily grooming and mouth care. They can sometimes be finicky eaters. They demand a lot of attention as puppies, and often into adulthood. They are energetic and sometimes mischievous. And they try to run you and your household. Granted, they are time consuming but they will be your friend for likely a decade or more. They will love and fiercely protect you, snuggle you tight and give you as much love and affection as you can handle. They are loyal to a fault and are “highly collectible” as it’s hard to stick to having just one in your life.
Are Yorkies Hard to Train?
It depends on how much time, effort, and self-education you are willing to put into training your new friend. Yorkies are smart. They can easily learn tricks and commands. However, they are stubborn, bossy and sometimes hard to potty train. Don’t be discouraged. With the right tools and attitude and a bit of persistence you can train your pet to blend seamlessly into your life.
All of Mimi's AKC Yorkies pups have a head start on training before they go to their new homes. We get our pups started on crate training, pee pad training, and basic obedience training. They are socialized to reduce anxiety and help with amicably meeting new people. We do the hard work so you don't have to. All you need to do is continue what we started and your puppy will be a happy, well-behaved member of your family.
How Do I Pick the Right Pup?
Our puppies receive multiple individual temperament assessments & personality evaluations over the course of their lives from birth through the time they go to their furever homes. We consider the lifestyle and activity level, as well as mobility issues, special needs, presence of children in the home, and other considerations of our clients. Then we recommend a puppy that will best fit into the household of the buyer.
